On this episode of New Neighbors, I talk with Jess, an artist originally from Uganda. Up until a few months ago, Jess used to live in Manhattan. I met Jess at her apartment on the Upper West Side just as she finished packing. Here, we spoke about her early days as a dancer in the city, her job at one of my favorite bars in the West Village, and how New York helped her find her voice.
