Today's episode features Randy Medina, front man of Sun of Sound, advocate for social justice and a firefighter. Randy grew up in New Bedford and Somerset, Massachusetts. He discovered a love for music at a young age and started playing instruments and participating in marching band, chorus, and theater. He used music as a way to label and understand his emotions as a child and to communicate with his dad. Randy formed Sun of Sound in high school with friends and since then has shared the stage with artists like Wyclef Jean and Talib Kweli while having their records produced by Joe Mabbot.
