You ever buy a comic book collection and find a bunch of titles you've never heard of? Amputee Love, Concrete, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. All these are rare and hard to find comics worth good money. We all know the story of TMNT. Self published creator owned comic that wasn't expected to go past issue 1. Obviously it turned into a multi million dollar property. Back in the 90's Marvel's heavy hitting dream team of artist and writers all left the company and started their own creator-owned publisher called Image. All these are fantastic stories on independent comics going mainstream.
