This week we have an interesting talk about Mens mental health with Dr Esther Cole. Award winning Dr Cole is the Founder & Clinical Director of Lifespan Psychology the diverse practice. Having worked in the NHS for 12 years Dr Cole joined the independent sector in 2017 to focus on supporting people from all walks of life. Since then the practice has gone from strength to strength, having won the Prestige Award for Psychological Therapy Specialists of the Year in 2022. Previously Dr Cole received the May Davidson Early Career Award 2020 from the BPS, for her work on childhood brain injury and different innovations in therapy for children adults and families affected by childhood brain injury.
Along with her practice, Esther is also focusing on research, blog writing and proactive work around Mens mental health. Are we turning a blind eye to the issue of Mens mental health and the high rates of male suicide. We really enjoyed our conversation with Dr Cole and delving into what we can do to support more of our fathers, brothers and sons to seek support when they need it.
