Surprise! It's Buffy's 17th birthday, and we've gone absolutely off the rails for part one of the most epic 2-parter yet. It's Season 2, Episode 13 "Surprise." What's on the agenda? Some of the show's best dream sequences (and some great music) open this one up for us. Kate J's beloved Jenny Calendar finally has a backstory, and no one is less pleased than Kate herself. Wheelchair Spike and a still-insane-but-very-powerful Drusilla make their triumphant return. Remember Luke from Season 1? Yeah, he's a big unstoppable demon called The Judge now. Oh, did Buffy and Angel have sex in this episode? I guess we have to talk about that... and all of its consequences next week!
