It’s spooky time again!
This week on Because You Watched… we take you where no man dares to tread, the corridors of the Overlook Hotel. That’s right! Charlie and Francesco, joined by esteemed guest Aflie Woodhead, are tackling their first Kubrick, the claustrophobic supernatural thriller, The Shining (dir. Stanley Kubrick, 1980).
From there they discuss the Lovecraftian meta-horror, In the Mouth of Madness (dir. John Carpenter, 1994), South Korean gothic tragedy, A Tale of Two Sisters (dir. Kim Jee-woon, 2003), before finishing on Argentinian psychological drama, The Headless Woman (dir. Lucrecia Martel, 2008).
Be very afraid. And stay away from tricycles!
