Interesting Facts
We met Ram Prasad for the first time when he was assisting B Gopal for the film 'Gang Master' in the year 1996. He is a hard worker and a very sincere guy. His experience helped us in the making of 'Chiru Navvuto'. He worked without an assistant for that film most of the times. I give all the credit for the success of the film to G Ram Prasad for his direction.
During Nuvve Kavali making, Trivikram had simultaneously penned story and dialogues for Chirunavvutho.
After the unit of SP Entertainments returned from Canada after canning three songs on Venu and Shaheen, it commenced its scheduled at Hyderabad recently. After giving a good thought on various titles, atlast it was decided to call this different love story as Chirunavvu (Smile).
A situational song was picturised on Venu and his friends alongwith 250 junior artistes at Annapoorna Studios.
The budget for Chirunavvuto was a little over 2 crores and it collected a share of 5 crores and was a hit at the box office.

Writing/Direction:
So basically the movie summed up in a line is a man who thinks with his brain and heart and cannot be friends with a girl after expressing his love. Whether or not he’s successfully is the story.
This movie is literally a sequel to Swavyamvaram. Same producer, same hero, same writer, and literally same cast with addition of Brahmanadham and LB Sriram. And almost same story as well. There it was love is greater than marriage, here its you love with different mindsets affects people after learning abut their mentalities in love. Thats it. But a great 2nd half and excellent dialogues makes the difference for Navvutho.
3 characters Venu, Sandhya and Pratap you get to see their intentions and the movie actually places Sandhya is a very confused state and you start to feel for her.
Venu says I always talk with my heart and do whats in my mind and he cannot be friends with Sandhya after expressing his love. He wont force anything.
Sandhya meanwhile likes Pratap but one scene int he jewelry store shows how controlling he is and doesnt care about Sandhya’s likes or wishes only his. Already a red flag.
And then Pratap cheated Venu’s maradalu which already shows hes not a good person.
The dialogues, characterizations, and sensibilities were very well done.
Also the scene where Sandhya talks to her mom and who will we be happy with: she says madam preminche vaalu kante, manalni preminche vaale tho jeevitham baguntadi. After hearing this, Sandhya decides that venu is the right person for her.
That being said, this review is coming 24 years after the movie released for the first time and I found it to be exhausting with this trope. Literally of Trivikram’s movies as a writer dealt with marriage and issues and specifically hero likes heroine, but heroine marriage gets arranged with someone else and in the climax she realizes she likes hero and goes back to him only.
Literally every single one: Swayvamvaram. Nuvve Kavali, Chiru Navvutho, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav, Manmadhudhu, Malliswari, Vasu, the only exception is Jai Chiranjeeva becayse theres no pelli there only killing of Arbaaz Khan and Im so tired of seeing this trope.
From Swayamvaravam all the way to Geetha Govindam literally every single love story or rom com same exact ending. Solo as well. It gets exhausting and tiring.
Comedy is not Trivikram range that we are used to either. Its just something but the dialogues for the majority are incredible.
Direction by G Ram Prasad is very good. I was never bored at any point and movie is very breezy throughout.
