Interesting Facts:
- As we all know, Boyapati was an assistant director for Pavitra Bandham. Became close with Venky during the shoot. Venky liked his style and promised to do a film with him.
- Then of course in 2004 Boyapati was trying to become a director and narrated his first script Bhadra, a Rayalseema faction backdrop movie first to Venky and liked it a lot but it didnt work out as Venkatesh was busy with Malliswari and Sankranthi movies.
- Then Boyapati started narrating it to the other heroes and eventually Raviteja accepted to do it and it was Bhadra. It went onto become a blockbuster and in the meantime Venkatesh did Sankranthi, Lakshmi, and AMAV which were all blockbusters
- After Bhadra 100 days function, Boayapti got a call from Venkatesh and asked him to come to AMAV shooting spot and Boayapti went immediately. Venky do you have an interesting script with you.
- Boyapati said ok sir give me 3 months time and he worked on the script. Within 2 months actually I. June 2006, Boayoati narrated the full script and Venky liked it a lot and gave the go ahead.
- Venkatesh roped in parachute brothers to write the dialogues. Suresh Babu was in flops post Malliswari and he was selected as the producer. When coming to the heroine part, Venkatesh suggested Nayantara’s name to Boyapati and he casted her. Their combo was fresh off the blockbuster success of Lakshmi and expectations and anchalanu periggayi. Then rest of the cast was finalized
- Intiial budget was 8 crores and then in October 2006 filming began. Bangalore was a place it was shot and court set looked like Ramanaidu Studios, Austria they did most of the flashback part in the beginning and the songs Mia Mia and Vennelintha Vediga. The plan was the complete it within 6 months and release it in early 2007. But 3 months in during a fight sequence, Venkatesh injured his shoulder and was advised bed rest for 4 months and filming got delayed again
- The budget went from 8 crores to anywhere from 13 crores as a result of the delay. Filming finally finished and on September 22nd 2007, audio was released. K Raghavendra Rao, D Rama Naidu and KL Narayana attended this function as guests.
- Audio was successful and DSP gave super hit music. Particularly the song Nee Kallathoti was the most famous.
- October 12th, 2007 with 295 prints in 312 screens theaters, movie released and got super hit talk.
- Another super hit for Venky and mamulu records kaadhu. It if the first Telugu movie to run for 50 days in 225 direct centers, all time record. 2nd movie in Venkatesh career to run for complete 50 days in more than 200 centers, Lakshmi did it for 50 days in 212 centers,
- In Nizam alone it completed 50 days in 75 centers with 16 days of those theaters being in Hyuderbad itself, it is the first Telugu movie to create this record: to run in more than 10 centers for 50 days in Hyderabad itself
- In Vijaywada it ran for 50 days in 10 centers created a sensation. 12 days share was 12 crores and then final clollections it collected 18.43 crores share and did 32 crores gross on a pre release business of 12 crores and was a super hit at the box office. 3 consecutive blockbusters for Venky and return to form for Suresh Productions. It was also released in 21 centers in Karnataka and 7 centers in Tamil Nadu and collected a share of 3.5 crores share from both areas combined
- Gave breakthrough for actor Jhansi who played Kokapeta aunty in this movie
