- This story point was conceived by me when I was in film institute. It started with the thread of a small communication gap between father and son. Then the idea of making girl stay in boy’s place for seven days. And the rolling titles. After that I did not give a serious thought about developing this story idea into a script. But Sukumar had always been reminding me to develop this story idea. I told him that some flavor was missing. Later on I decided on the characterization of heroine. The heroine’s characterization excited me a lot. Vasu (co-director of VV Vinayak) helped me a lot with this script as Sukumar is busy with another film. Myself and Vasu developed the first version of the script and narrated it to Dil Raju. It excited him
- Allu Arjun was the first choice for the movie but it didn’t work out
- Genelia was cast after seeing the rushes of Happy movie
- Climax was shot in a single take in 45 minutes and the team set the mood for the day for making sure there was pin drop silence on set and they started filming at 3:30 PM that day. Bhaskar said his hands were shaking and tears came from his eyes when seeing the monitor. Didn’t even say cut and just walked out of the room in emotion
- Sathi oka Manchi panodu character was created by Abburi Ravi actually

- Bhaskar decided on the gown for Genelia’s wardrobe. When it comes to Siddharth we concentrated mostly on striped and checked shirts. We gave him checked shirts when he was in a dilemma and striped shirts when he was confident.
