Hello lovely listeners! Here is the third and final part to our mini-series covering the 3 BIG crimes that took place in Australia in the 1960's. This is the sad, unsolved case of the 3 Beaumont children who were abducted, January 26th, Australia Day in 1966. Listen to the timeline, the witness reports, the investigation that unfortunately is still a mystery today. This case, along with Graeme Thorne and the Wanda Beach murders, marked the end of innocence in Australia, the 3 cases took the lives of children, which ultimately led to shifts in societal issues, especially regarding parenting and the term "stranger danger" being a term used more often. Children weren't allowed to go wherever they wanted, whenever they wanted anymore, parents fearing that their child would be next.
As with all unsolved case, get in touch with your theories and thoughts on who you think did this, the episode covers suspects that were connected to other crimes that were happening around the time. Some of them are really convincing but I would love to hear your thoughts!
