Description

Workplace burnout…it’s not a new phrase, and it’s also not going away. Burnout is a WHO-recognized state in which there is a chronic imbalance between your job demands and resources. What’s the solution? We propose: an intentional focus on wellbeing at work. For scalable impact, leaders must take responsibility for creating psychologically safe environments, thriving cultures, and a sense of belonging for employees.

We connect the dots between wellbeing and what will be 75% of our workforce by 2025: millennials. Elisa Torres joins us to talk about how millennials are leading the way in taking stock of values, setting boundaries, and destigmatizing mental health in the workplace.

Elisa is a marketing professional and a leader in the healthcare industry. As a Director for Global Strategic Marketing at Johnson & Johnson, she has excelled in her career, while also making an impact as a philanthropist and speaker. She has addressed audiences from TEDx stages to corporate settings to mission fields about the potential power we all have as leaders and change agents.

“I stopped and took inventory of everything I’ve accomplished, and I thought, ‘I have every right to be in this room, I have every right to have a seat at this table.’ Is that arrogance? No. I reframe it to say, [if I don’t] I’m robbing them of my perspective. That’s the beauty of diversity. My company will be better off if I communicate. So have the confidence to show up, speak up, and advocate for the ideas you have.”
