In this episode of the podcast, we are once again joined by Ciaran @TheeMcginn to help Kiley and Pete discuss the recent influx of stories involving Sony and their decisions regarding game preservation, with the announcement of the store closures of PS3, PSP and Vita, Bloombergs article by Jason Schreier, where it is stated that Sony plans on focussing their attention on big blockbuster titles, especially from the big first party studios like Naughty Dog, Guerrila and Sony Santa Monica to name a few. We also discuss the recent discovery that puts game/console preservation in the firing line with the discover that PS4 and PS5 games, both physical and digital, will be unplayable once the battery inside the consoles die and Sony decides to close the store fronts in the future.
