Sometimes the best way to break that cycle is to understand that failure (although not awesome and generally a bummer deal) is never without its blessings.
Experience, confidence, growth points, constructive criticism, and humility are all fruit that grow on the tree of failure....a Failure Ficus. Is a Ficus a tree? I'll have to google that...
Anyway, All that to say this: don't let the fear of failure keep you from chasing your interests. Embrace failure. Look at every obstacle and hurdle as a blessing.
