Description

Sit with me as we hear from Abby Frutchey of Northfield Maine. Abby is 17 years clean and sober, and is an Alumni of the Therapeutic Courts in Maine. Abby also sits on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP) and is the Vice-Chair for the National Therapeutic Court Alumni Association (NTCAA). In this episode Abby shares her story of active addiction and recovery. Abby shares how her addiction is a genetic pre-disposition and how her addiction started. Abby speaks about the heights of her addiction and how the Therapeutic Courts saved her life. We reflect on similarities in our own individual stories and how we overcame some of those situations. Abby speaks about what she is doing now to stay sober and maintain her recovery program. We then speak about how NADCP has impacted not just our lives but lives of Alumni. Abby speaks about the inception of NCTAA and the passion behind every member of the association. I am eternally grateful that Abby is a part of my journey and is a part of the Sitting with Sean Family. Enjoy!!!
