Elsie Theodore is a first-generation American immigrant with Haitian roots. Starting from humble beginnings, she was one of ten children growing up in Brooklyn, New York. In today's episode, she shares the incredible testimony of her humble start, becoming a young teenage mother, a Wall Street journalist, a 9/11 survivor, and the transition to her current career as a Regional Vice President and financial educator. She is raw and vulnerable in sharing her story. She speaks truth to the way God has taken her many pieces and made her whole - a true "beauty from ashes" testimony. She encourages people to stay true to their authentic selves, trust God with the greater plan, and continuously persist despite what life throws at them. Most commonly known as "Momma Bear" - she is someone so capable of pouring into you, yet providing the tough love when it's needed. An incredible woman, mother, sister, friend, leader, influence - the list just goes on! You won't wanna miss all the gold Elsie shares in this episode!
