#IndicStudies, 2nd Webinar at FLAME University Date: Tuesday, March 30th, 2021
TITLE: Where #QuantumPhysics and #IndicVisions overlap
Abstract of the Talk: Quantum Mechanics is a twentieth-century culmination of three centuries of modern (Galilean-Newtonian) science. One may therefore wonder how one can talk about Quantum Mechanics and any traditional religious perspective. This can be done because the world-view that QM engenders, the notions of causality and determinism that follow from it, and the picture of reality that emerges from it have some remarkable parallels with some of the insights of ancient Indic philosophers. This lecture will explore some of these fascinating findings. Its goal is not to show that the methods and mathematics of QM are implicit in ancient writings.
