Steven Spielberg thinks that streaming service original movies, like those found on Netflix and Hulu, should not be considered for potential Academy awards, a position that he'll be championing at the Academy's next Board of Governors meeting. To Spielberg, streaming service movies should be considered at the Emmys, an awards ceremony designed for television and other "home-viewing" works. Netflix has tweeted a defense of their position, saying that they love cinema.
