SADDLEBACK IS REACHING A DIFFERENT TYPE OF PERSON THROUGH THEIR EXTENSION CAMPUSES

Even some physical churches are learning that they reach a different type of person through different methods. This is the heart behind Saddleback’s Extension Campuses. Through multiple revisions in recent memory, the giga-church Saddleback has been exploring the idea of operating as a microchurch, struggling to figure out a model of operation that can operate through a decentralized framework that empowers people to have the freedom to minister in their context.

This is an exciting, but challenging idea. How can a massive church like Saddleback release control?

JAY KRANDA BRINGS 10+ YEARS OF INSIGHT INTO THE CONVERSATION OF DECENTRALIZED CHURCH

This is the beauty of the conversation with Jay Kranda here. Jay openly admits that he nor Saddleback have all the answers. In this weakness, though, is strength. In Jay’s search for the answers, he sheds insight on the heart of church innovation, and an understanding that will help our churches better understand that we don’t need to know the answers, yet. The freedom is in not knowing the answers, but recognizing the questions and having permission to explore.
