In the final episode of first Samuel, the Philistines prepare to attack Israel. King Achish asked David to join him. King Achish leaders refused to fight with David on their side. Saul consults with God, and God doesn’t respond. Saul tricks a medium to summon Samuel from the grave. The Philistines overtake Israel and kills Saul and his three sons.
