“Then he asked them, ‘But who do you say I am?’” Matthew 16:15
In the Bible, in Matthew chapter 16, Jesus asked the disciples what people were saying about him. He basically asked, “Who do they say that I am?” They were quick to respond with a list of things they had heard, “Some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” Then Jesus asked a question that is very similar, yet altogether different.
