We continue our study of the Gospel of John. This morning we see that Jesus is in the garden and the authorities have come to arrest him. John's Gospel illustrates how Jesus is not a victim and that he is in control.
We see opposition from Jewish leaders, Judas and the Roman military (representing the world). Outwardly, they seem to win, but Jesus remains sovereign. He is in control and he intervenes to save his disciples in the same way that his death intervened and gave us our salvation
