Kim Cavitt, AuD, owner of Audiology Resources, graduated with her master’s degree in audiology from Indiana University in 1991 and her AuD from Salus University in 2005. She spent nine years as a clinical audiologist and preceptor at The Ohio State and Northwestern Universities and spent two years as the Director of Professional Relations at Amplifon Hearing Services.)

Since 2001, Dr. Cavitt has operated her own audiology consulting firm, Audiology Resources, providing comprehensive practice management, operations, and reimbursement consulting services to hearing healthcare clinics, providers, organizations, buying groups, and manufacturers who want to be better equipped to compete in the managed care and health care areas.

Throughout her career, Dr. Cavitt has been actively involved in issues related to all aspects of audiology practice operations, management, coding, billing, third-party reimbursement, compliance, pricing, and managed care issues. She has written numerous articles, provided many training opportunities, and given numerous presentations at both the state and national levels on these topics. Dr. Cavitt is a past president of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) and the chair of the state of Illinois Speech Pathology and Audiology Licensure Board. She is an ADA representative and founding member of the Audiology Quality Consortium. She serves on committees through ADA and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a senior contributor to Audiology Online and Audiology Practices.

Dr. Cavitt is an avid fan of her beloved Indiana Hoosiers and Chicago Cubs, and she also enjoys craft beer, bourbon, good food, travel, and spending time in her adopted hometown of Chicago.
