I got the opportunity to have a chat with Adam Huml from the Czech craft beer brewery Zichovec
Brewery. Zichovec Brewery has recently been in Sweden for a serie of tap take overs in Gothenburg,
Helsingborg and Malmö. The beers from Zichovec are imported to Sweden by Mastebo Craft.
The brewery was founded already 2012 in the village Zichovec close to Prague. In 2016 the
brewery had to be moved to new and larger locations in Louny. In 2022 Adam tells me that Zichovec brew 1.000.000 liters
of beer. That makes them to a medium size brewery in the Czech Republic. Although what Zichovec brew in one year Pilsner
Urquell brew in 5 hours… The brewers from Zichovec really experiment with new styles of beers. The brew about 80 (!)
different beers per year. It was really interesting to get to hear the story about Zichovec Brewery and I would
like to give a BIG thank you to Adam. If you get the chance to try some of you’re the great craft beers from Zichovec Brewery
it´s really really worth a try.
