Ah... the month of March. The third special month of the year. What makes this month special? There are many special days and occasions to enjoy and celebrate in the month of March such as Employee Appreciation Day, Spring Break, and even the holiday that gives us a reason to where the color green, St. Patrick's Day. Many of these great days and occasions and more to celebrate, but for the sporting industry, they like to go all out in the month of March. In fact, they like to celebrate the whole month of March, because of one thing in the sport of basketball, March Maddness. March Maddness is a men's 68 basketball team single-elimination tournament created by the NCAA in the United States that aims to determine the national champion of the Division I level. Yes, the very best 68 teams of what the NCAA has to offer compete in a single-elimination tournament to determine who is the very best in college basketball. Talk about something to get you excited for the month of March, but here's the thing. For this episode of MitchyRitchyTalk, since myself and the boys didn't have time to watch all of the games this year, we decided to create our own single-elimination tournament bracket for March Maddness, but instead of men's basketball, we decided to do every movie that at least two out of the three of us have seen in 2023. In this episode, myself, Trevor, and John sit-down, determine, and debate in our opinions what truly is the best film of 2023. This tournament took a lot of time to create when it came to creating a bracket, finding all of the films we watched in 2023, putting them in a random order, etc. this was quite the creation. We call this bracket the Magenta Floormats March Madness Bracket: Movies 2023 Edition. The rules of this bracket are simple. There are 80 films that we saw in the year 2023. Not 68 movies, 80! We selected the first 64 films randomly in a randomizer wheel. These 64 films will battle first, then the remaining 16 will have a bye in the tournament competing against all of the odd films that won in the first round. Once the bye round is over, then the remaining 32 teams left in the tournament will battle from the next round of the bracket to the Final Two of the Tournament. The winner of the bracket will be the Magenta Floormats' official 2023 movie of the year. This episode of MitchyRitchyTalk is indeed long, but at the end of the day, it's all about determining the best film of 2023 and which films of that year are worth watching.
