Description

Tracy interviews Mike and Sarah Borduin, along with 2 of their children, Niles & Vivian over the phone. The Borduin family sat down on a quiet porch in Columbia South America (the sounds you sometimes here in the background are parrots) to tell Tracy about their year long trip across South America. Niles talks about how he is going to to high school remotely. Vivian talks about taking this trip as her "gap year" between high school and whatever is next for her. As a recent high school graduate, she is feeling it out. Mike and Sarah are recently retired in their late forties, early fifties and are traveling to see the many different countries to possibly choose one to purchase a second home in. Mike and Sarah talk about how they can afford to retire early and what deliberate choices they made years ago that paved the way for early retirement. The entire family describes their experiences with learning Spanish, working with the locals, and traveling with their dog, Gypsy. Mike describes the logistics of getting a vehicle imported to Argentina and Sarah talks about the requirements for vaccines and health safety. This is an educational and fun interview about traveling and living life while you are still young!
