I wanted to choose this movie because it’s a classic for any Transformers fan or kid of the 80s, but I’ll be honest. I never had much respect for it. When I rewatched this movie a couple of years ago, I thought it was a total mess, and it pretty much is in a lot of ways, but when I really paid attention and got past the death of my childhood hero, I could finally appreciate the glorious structure that holds it all together.
