The city wants to widen the street the girls live on. To do so they have to remove a 200 year old oak tree on Mrs. Claxton's property. They start a petition to save the tree. Mrs. Claxton is the only one who won't sign the petition. They wind up having to go to a hearing of sorts of try and save the tree. Rose stands up to Mrs. Claxton in this hearing and Mrs Claxton suffers a heart attack and dies during this verbal altercation. Rose feels extremely guilty. They wind up doing a small funeral for Mrs. Claxton. Only one person comes. However, she came to the wrong funeral. To make matters worse, Mrs. Claxton was accidentally cremated. She's given to the girls. What becomes of Mrs. Claxton's ashes?
