This week on The Career Conversation Podcast, Miss Miller sits down with Ryan Seely, Career Counselor at the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus.
Ryan Seely was born in Duluth Minnesota but grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After graduating high school, he went on and earned his Bachelor of Science in Geography and Global Positioning System Technology at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. After graduating from UCCS, Ryan went on to work for HSBC as an Account Executive and then later as a Branch Sales Manager. Within his career at HSBC, Ryan worked within various divisions within the company including financial planning, insurance services, quality control, mortgage development, auto loan services, employee development and retention, and customer prospecting.
While working at HSBC, Ryan also attended evening classes at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Over the course of two years, Ryan earned his Counseling and Human Services Masters with a K-12 School Endorsement. After graduating with is masters, he left the world of corporate finance to pursue a career as a School Counselor. His first job as a school counselor was at Liberty Middle School where he served as the 7th and 8thgrade counselor. After leaving Liberty Middle School, he went on to work at the high school level at Grandview High School, home of the Wolves. During his time at Grandview, Ryan developed a passion for helping students explore careers and find ways to earn debt free degrees, which naturally led him to the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus.
Ryan is passionate about helping students identify their career path while also finding unique ways to help students earn a debt free degree.
