Hello gang, Luca here... as usual. I'm pissed. I'm trying to add a video element to the podcast, and I can't seem to get a video file with audio from OBS. Ugh! I've gotten it to work before, but I keep messing it up. Also, the camera battery died while we were recording, so I need to get a dummy battery to prevent that from happening again. But it won't matter if I can't get audio with the video file.
In this episode of the Star Wars Re-Watch Podcast, we discuss episode six of Andor, titled "The Eye," which refers to the festival celebrating the meteor shower. As you'll hear, we were all very impressed with this episode. The audience (and the characters) get to see if the heist crew's training and preparation have paid off.
For me, the visuals in this episode were a standout. Once the meteor shower starts and Cassian is flying what's left of the crew off Aldhani, your eyes are dazzled by the vibrant colors on display. AJ and Mike were also impressed with the dialogue, especially Nemik's. As the idealist/intellectual of the crew, his word choice stands out compared to everyone else.
This was definitely another finale-like episode. One of my co-hosts mentioned that Andor is broken up into three-episode arcs. My biggest question from here is what happens with the money? Andor took his cut and left. How does Luthen track him down? How does this affect Mon Mothma? What does Vel do with the money? Are they planning on buying weapons or warships? What's going to happen in the next trilogy of episodes, starting with episode seven and ending with episode nine? Tune in and find out.
