Good evening sports fans—just kidding! If you're listening to this,
you're probably more into the galaxy far, far away than sports. This
past Sunday, AJ, my brother, and I got together to re-watch Part Four of
Obi-Wan Kenobi.
All I can say is, for everything the show does well, it's held back by
some awful dialogue. Moses Ingram is trying really hard, and in
researching for this episode, I discovered she was in Queen's Gambit as
Jolene, Beth Harmon's childhood friend from the orphanage! I had no
idea.
The show is getting better, but the sum of the parts is not equal to the
sum of the whole. Shoutout to Joe Vargas from The Angry Joe Show and
his Angry Review of Part Four—I laughed so hard at the thumbnail for his
review on YouTube.
The three of us agree: the show looks and sounds great. The visual
effects, music, cinematography, and more are fantastic. However, they
can't make up for a weak script and story. Here's hoping for a better
Part Five!
