Ms Deepa Bose has been an orthopaedic consultant for 13 years, specialising in trauma and limb reconstruction. Today she shares her story - starting in Guyana to mastering a clasically male dominated specialty. We discuss issues which affect female surgical trainees - including having children, working less than full-time and the importance of mentorship in medicine. We also hear about the work she does teaching orthopaedics in developing nations including Guyana, Ukraine and Palestine.
