“Mental Illness Needs to be Destigmatized.” This was the founding idea of M.I.N.D., a service-learning project started by five high school students to address the urgent lack of conversations around mental health in their community. Recently, their impact was duly recognized by a national Youth Leadership in Service-Learning Excellency Award.
