There is a misconception in the church today, that aims to blame all sin and problems on generational curses. It is believed that, once these curses are dealt with, all the problems and sins will go away. When new problems evolve, they then try and dig further into their past, hoping to find some curses that will explain the reason for their situation and not for their own actions.
