Hou ar ye? Season 2 episode 6 sees James skip down the hill to Warren’s garden with the biggest item to be brought in for the show yet. It’s his framed aerial photograph of Edinburgh. Oh my what a beautiful city it is, wherever you look at it from. It has an extinct volcano, castle, palace, old town and (as Warren points out) a train station! We get to hear about a fascinating aerial photography journey that started while James was selling whiskey and kilts online. The wheelbarrow fire is burning strong, there’s a giant moth, or a really small bat circling above like a spy drone and yeah, James nails time travel. Warren gets a lesson about hip hop, we discover a necropolis where the first aerial photographer and Jim Morrison were buried (and other people). It’s definitely a sign, as aerial photos open the Doors of Perception for James and Warren. Once again, a stunning episode brought to you from the future, the past and most importantly the present. Thank you for listening.
