There’s a reason why we have processes. And it’s not to give us a headache although they can definitely be a pain in the butt. Processes safeguard us from social hacking, or as many call it, social engineering.
When we have processes in place it makes it more difficult for us to make decisions that could hurt us in the long run.
I always like it in spy movies when someone says “don’t trust anyone“. The reason why I like it, is because it’s true. We shouldn’t trust anyone. Even ourselves.
The trust that we have in ourselves makes us vulnerable. That’s why processes help us stay on the straight and narrow.
