Lee Kernaghan OAM, in full Lee Raymond Kernaghan, (born April 15, 1964, Corryong, Victoria, Australia), Australian popular singer who reinvigorated Australian country music in the 1990s, synthesizing traditional country themes with energetic styles of contemporary rock and roll and images of an evolving Australian rural culture.

Kernaghan was the eldest child of Ray Kernaghan, who rose to great popularity as a country music singer during Lee's teen years. In the mid-1970s Lee formed his first band with his brother Greg and his sister Tania-the latter of whom also went on to become a successful country singer.

Kernaghan is an Australian country music singer, songwriter and guitarist. Lee spent his formative years growing up in the Riverina country of Southern New south Wales. Kernaghan has won four ARIA Awards and three APRA Awards, and has sold over two million albums, and as of 2021, he has won 38 Golden Guitars at the Country Music Awards of Australia (second to Slim Dusty).

Kernaghan was the 2008 Australian of the Year in recognition of his support for rural and regional Australia. Kernaghan was the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2015 ARIA Awards, for Spirit of the Anzacs.
