According to Newzoo, by the end of 2019 the global gaming market was estimated to be worth $152 billion, with 45% of that, $68.5 billion, coming directly from mobile games. With over three billion smartphones in the world and this number ever growing, it looks as if mobile gaming has a long way to run. So what is it that is fuelling people's interest in mobile gaming and what does it mean for how we connect with one another? We talk with Peter Walmsley, Chief People Officer at GSN Games, about our fascination with gaming, what it tells us about ourselves and what it looks like in a world being forced to pull back on physical interaction.
