*TRIGGER WARNING* This episode does contain content around depression and suicide. If you are at all triggered, please reach out to Beyond Blue or LifeLine Australia. Dayne Weston is also providing a local men's group in Tweed Heads to support men. There also may be some controversial topics but hey, that’s what The Conflab is all about!
In this episode, we chat with a guest we’ve had on the pod before with an amazing story to check in with him and to see what he’s been up to because we know he has been busy! Dayne Weston is now the founder of Men of Gold. Men of Gold is a local group for men to gather, connect and share their feelings in a safe space. Empowering men to become vulnerable will see the change we need to see in this space. MEN OF GOLD IS ALL-INCLUSIVE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE!
The more Men we can empower to be vulnerable, the stronger our communities will be for all. If you would like to attend the next night, we highly encourage you to go along on Monday, 6th February (I know in this ep, we said 30th January however, the podcast was dropped on the 31st January). The address is 56 Caloola Drive, Tweed Heads NSW.
You can also check out Men of Gold on Instagram @menofgold! Dayne, mate, what you are doing is phenomenal and I’m so proud of all that you have achieved so far. This is just the start!
Below are a couple of books and other men groups we referenced during the show if you aren’t local to Tweed Heads:
