For many people, the idea of sacrifice is a natural and key ingredient to success. They have this idea that they can’t gain what they want without sacrificing something else. For example, you can’t have six-pack abs without sacrificing junk food. Tracy doesn’t subscribe to this way of thinking; she doesn’t believe in sacrifice.
When we frame things as a sacrifice, it means we’re missing out on something. If, while reaching for gain, we’re looking at what we have to lose, it makes success that much more difficult.
