We can believe whatever we want about ourselves, but without action, those beliefs won’t get us very far. Plain and simple, we are what we do. Our beliefs can drive our actions, so it’s important to have the two in alignment. When there is misalignment between our beliefs and actions, cognitive dissonance occurs.
To get your beliefs and actions in alignment, one or the other has to change. Turn to your super ego for feedback. Try writing down the measurable actions taken in relation to the belief held by the ego. Decide if any adjustments can be made in your actions to better demonstrate your beliefs.
