Balance is a word or idea that comes up a lot in my conversations with other moms. We are constantly juggling so many things on a day to day basis that most of us never feel like we have balance in our life or we are on a constant quest to reach this elusive idea of balance. Today I’m breaking down why I don't believe in balance and why maintaining that it’s actually achievable is harmful. So often we beat ourselves up mentally or give up on things in our life because we feel like we can’t balance it all. Truth is you can’t! Certain aspects of our life are going to take more attention and focus than others in different seasons and the sooner we lean into that the more content we start to feel. If we start to reframe our mindset to create harmony between the different areas of our life and accept the seasons we’re in, that's when we start to thrive.
