Curtis graduated from Kingsford in 2002. He played football, basketball, and ran track. He spent his time in Maize and Blue under center as a quarterback. He attended Northern Michigan University, worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections, and is now the Dickinson County Juvenile Probation officer.
Curtis lives in Breitung Township with his wife, two boys, and daughter.
