Description

Did you know that every year, more people die as a result of suicide than HIV, malaria or breast cancer  ̶  or war and homicide.
In 2019 alone according to WHO, more than 700 000 people died by suicide.

Today’s topic is so relevant and right on time because we are currently in the world suicide prevention month.
We recorded this episode on the 11th of September.

In this episode, we talk all things mental health and topics surrounding our mental health, to be specific clinical depression.
We demystify some misconceptions the society has about depression, most of which are statements we may have used or heard people use... statements like, “one needs a reason to be depressed”

Emmanuel also shares some alarming statistics on suicide and depression, globally and locally.

We also get to have an opportunity to hear a mans perspective on the topic plus more questions answered. I promise there’s so much to learn in here.

I am so so thankful to Emmanuel for sharing all this relevant and insightful information with us! Greatful is an understatement!

Disclaimer: This episode does not replace professional help. But through these conversations we hope to raise awareness and encourage each other.
