Description

This is part of the series for PCOS Awareness Month.

Women with PCOS have struggles with androgens (male hormones) like testosterone which can contribute to hair concerns. The hair concerns which I am talking about include excessive hair on the chin, jawline, face and other body parts including legs and the back and hair thinning from the frontal hairline termed as alopecia. Some women with PCOS can also encounter hair loss due to higher levels of androgens than normal.

If you have hair loss or excessive hair growth, you might want to check your DHT levels and address insulin resistance and high stress.

There are multiple root causes of hormone imbalances.
