The complexities of Indian society have driven not only the norms and values of the individuals but even impacted their life drastically. Gindro and Charano are two friends who belong to different stratas of the society. Their way of life is different, have different connotations but aspirations are almost the same which actually causes driftness in the friendship as well.
The writer has beautifully exposed the present hypocritic society. The sheer episode where both Gindro and Charano are finding matches for the marriages of the children which actually gets defined by the classes to which they belong, mirrors the Harsh reflection of the crude society.
