The search for happiness makes the protagonist to wander here and there and finally when she reaches pilgrimage, it even turns out to be hoax. This is a story of a young Bengali girl whose name is 'Anima'. The exploitation that she has received at the hands of men around her including the person she loved, has ruined her innocence.
Moreover, her situation gets worse when she reaches Punjab, when she finds that she got sold out by the Punjabi truck driver who promised her a bright future. Her journey from being 'Anima' of Bengal to 'Rani' of Punjab is symbolic for the aimless search of happiness in the world, which actually resides within. But, would 'Anima' realize it or would she die a life of wanderers. This demands introspection while listening to this story.
