Sam Scantron Scannell showed up to the Virginia FlingGolf Open as an unknown, but left with a 2nd place finish which put him at #5 in the debut of the World League FlingGolf Player Rankings. Sam is currently an Athletic Director for a middle school in Durham, North Carolina. He is such a Jack-of-all-trades, the phrase may need modification to Sam-of-all-trades: in addition to being a top ranked FlingGolfer, he is and/or has been a diver, record-setting decathlete, college hockey player, hockey referee, certified Blackjack dealer, trampolinist, a brain surgery survivor, and business manager for his cat Finn's Instagram (@finnspaw).
