The 2024 College Football season is just around the corner, and I want to zoom in on Big Ten Football to preview the 2024 Iowa Hawkeyes Football team and give my predictions for and analysis of Kirk Ferentz's team. Listen, this defense is littered with x-factor players all around, such as defensive tackle Yahya Black, defensive end Deontae Craig, linebackers Jay Higgins and Nick Jackson, cornerbacks Sebastian Castro and Jermani Harris, and safeties Xavier Nwankpa and Quinn Schulte. Phil Parker is the nation's best defensive coordinator, and LeVar Woods is the college football's best special teams coordinator. The question marks revolve around the offense, and whether 5 returning offensive linemen and new offensive coordinator Tim Lester can bring this unit forward. I think quarterback Cade McNamara will take steps forward in year 2, but if he fails, Brendan Sullivan is more than ready to take the reigns. I predict Iowa to reach the College Football Playoff and win all of its games except its road trip against Ohio State. The Iowa State, Wisconsin, and Nebraska games are the most critical ones on the schedule. We talk about all of this and more in this episode of College Football with Sam.
