Jonathan Smith has been Michigan State Football's head coach for nearly 3 weeks and in that time has already made some significant changes. Most importantly, the Spartans have acquired quarterback Aidan Chiles from the transfer portal, giving Smith and his staff their sole scholarship QB in East Lansing. Along with Offensive coordinator and QBs coach Brian Lindgren, RBs coach Keith Bhonapha, OL coach Michalczik, TEs coach Brian Wozniak, DBs coach Blue Adams, and strength and conditioning coach Mike McDonald, the Spartans have continued to fill out their staff. Joe Rossi will be the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach and former coaches Courtney Hawkins (wide receivers) and Harlon Barnett (secondary) will be retained.
