The Maryland Terrapins have not beaten the Michigan State Spartans since the 2016 season. In a defensive game, with goal-line stands and plenty of field goal attempts, Mike Locksley earned his program a big win this Saturday, while the Spartans hit a 3 game losing streak for the first time since the 2019 season. Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa played after being injured vs Michigan and he had a good game, going 32/41 for 314 passing yards, and having 1 passing touchdown. The Terps and Spartans both had success on the ground, averaging 5 and 4.5 yards per carry respectively. Unfortunately for Mel Tucker, his passing offense and special teams looked completely lost.
